Mary Fay Greenwood

On the morning of May 8th, 2017, our precious Mother, sister, and grandmother left this earth to join our family who've gone before, and to receive her angel's wings.  Mary Fay Greenwood was born on August 9, 1944, in Union County to Lamon and Mary L. Willard.  She graduated from Ingomar Attendance Center in 1963.  She retired from North Ms Medical Center Home Health where she was a nursing assistant.  She lived most of her adult life in Union and Pontotoc Counties, until moving into the home of her daughter in Calhoun City due to her declining health.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Lamar Willard, and her beloved son, Scottie Greenwood.She leaves behind her loving daughter and caregiver, Connie Greenwood Collins (Athen) of Calhoun City; a sister, Angie Williard Wilson (David) of New Albany; her grandchildren, Michael L. Greenwood, Shasta Walls, J. D. Greenwood, Haley Watts, and Brady Collins; and one great grandchild, Brylie Jaco.Brother Ervin Wright will officiate the service at Buchanan Baptist Church where Mary was a member, with burial following in the church cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Kevin Wilson, Mark Greenwood, Michael K. Greenwood, Kenny Knight, Kenneth Jaco, and David Wilson.  Michael Shane Willard is an honorary pallbearer.
