Jeffery Ladale Whitten, 30, died in Poolville, Saturday, February 10, 2018. He was born in New Albany on May 30, 1987, the son of Allen Whitten and Lisa Hall Williams. He was a Baptist and an employee of Emerald Home Furnishings. Funeral services will be held at 2 P. M., Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Glenfield Funeral Home, with Brother Mark Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Glenfield Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 P. M. until 9 P. M. on Friday and from 11 A. M. until service time on Saturday. Pallbearers are Jamie Perkins, Jr., Jeremy Easterling, Matthew Hudson, Derrick Crumpton, Jason Gullick, and Cody Gullick. Honorary pallbearer is Chris Williams.Survivors include his parents, Lisa Williams and Allen Whitten, both of New Albany; three sons, Tyler Whitten, Eli Whitten, and Jeremiah Whitten all of New Albany; one daughter, Jaclyn Whitten of New Albany; Grandfather, Larry Hall of Nettleton; and three brothers, Brandon Whitten, Jonathan Whitten, and Brennen Smithey all of New Albany.He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sylvia Hall, and grandparents, Jimmy and Betty Whitten.
