Jimmy Howell, age 60, died, Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born in New Albany on November 12, 1956, the son of Walter Darden and Mary Evelyn Froman Howell. Jimmy had been a self employed mechanic who repaired diesel engines in trucks and repaired semi trailers. He was a member of Apostolic Revival Center and he enjoyed working on and restoring old cars, enjoyed drag racing, and loved to fish.He is survived by his wife, Terri of Myrtle, whom he married January 21, 1974; two sons, Jeremy Howell of Ecru, and Cody Howell of Myrtle; a brother, Danny Howell of Florida; two sisters, Brenda Duncan of Cotton Plant, and Sheryl Smith of Blue Mountain; and three grandchildren, Makenzie Howell, Wesley Mayo and Dylan Mayo.His funeral service will be officiated by Reverend Steve Denton, with burial following in Martintown Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Jeremy Daniel Howell, Samuel Cody Howell, Keith Irwin, Roger Nichols, Jeno DeCanter, and Joe Reed.
