James Harmon

New Albany- James M. Harmon , age 64, of New Albany, MS, passed away  at the Veterans Home in Oxford   on  Friday, April 7, 2023. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. A celebration of life funeral service will follow in the Glenfield  Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Glenfield Memorial Park in New Albany, Ms.

James was born on November 20, 1958 to Fred Louis Harmon and Audrey Mae Scott Harmon in Union County. He grew up in the New Albany area. He later drove trucks for the Army from 1978-1981. When James came home from the military he drove trucks for the Walmart Distribution Center for a number of years. His favorite hobby was fishing.

James is survived by his brother Joe Harmon, sisters; Bessie Harmon Bryant of Arkansas, and Frances Harmon Mason. James also leaves a host of nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Tatum, Jonas Harmon Jr, Ethan Phillips, Ronnie Tatum, and Buck Jones.
