Deborah Gail Vance, 61, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Union County in New Albany. Gail was born October 13, 1959, in Grand Junction, Tennessee, the daughter of Edward Lavelle and Madine Brooks Whitehead. She had worked as a teacher's assistant at Ashland Elementary School and later as a Sales Associate at Walmart in New Albany. Gail was a member of Amaziah Baptist Church at Hickory Flat and loved being a homemaker and spending time with her grandson. Survivors include her husband of twenty-six years, David Vance of Myrtle; a daughter Jessica Nolley and husband, Jared, of Hickory Flat; a brother, Eddie Lavelle Whitehead of Ashland; a sister, Dianne Hopkins and husband, Danny of Ashland; and one grandson, Jackson Nolley, of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her parents and by two sisters, Teresa Lynn Barnes and Tracey Mae Williams. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P. M. on Friday, January 8, 2021, at Glenfield Memorial Park in New Albany with Brother Jason Howell officiating. Pallbearers will be Gary Barnes, Jr., Richard Vance, Shane Brooks, Jerry Brooks, Jeff Harp, and Danny Hopkins. Visitation will be held at Glenfield Funeral Home from 11:00 A. M. until 1:00 P. M. on Friday.
