Bobbie Jean Thompson

Bobbie Jean Thompson, 81, was born November 29, 1935, in New Albany, the daughter of Robert and Lottie Hill Jones. Mrs. Thompson died at her residence on Wednesday, Ocotber 25, 2017.  She was a retired nurses aide and was a member of Grace Pointe Church of God.   Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017, at 11:00 A. M. at Glenfield Funeral Home with burial following in Martintown Cemetery. Brother Jim Wells officiating. Pallbearers are Cody, Bryan, Toby, and Joe Doss; and Chris and Josh Chappell. Visitation is Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 5 P. M. until 8 P. M. at the funeral home.  Survivors include her daughter, Judy Chappell (Jack) of New Albany; three sons, Billy Charles Doss (Toni)of Ripley, Bob Doss (Violet) of New Albany, and Brad Doss (Linda) of New Albany; step daughters, Barbara Weathers (Gary) and Kay Thompson; step sons, Carol Thompson, Roger Thompson, Terry Thompson, and Robert Thompson (Patricia); twenty five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dale Thompson, and one son, John Earl Doss.
