Barbara E Mardis

Barbara Etoy Mardis, 72, a New Albany native, passed away in her home on Monday, August 30, 2021. She was born in New Albany, Mississippi, on March 14, 1949, to Travis and Jewel Rakestraw. She is survived by her husband, Charles Mardis, her five children, Terry Mardis, Steven Mardis, Mark Mardis, Kevin Mardis, and Kathy Mardis. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Brooks Rakestraw. A visitation service will be held on Friday at Glenfield Funeral Home from 1:00 P. M. until 3:00 P. M. A private graveside service will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, officiated by Brother Caleb Willard. The family requests that all attendees at the visitation wear masks and follow Covid guidelines.
