Ronnie Curtis Reed, 58, was born August 25, 1958, in New Albany, Ms and died November 19, 2016, in Mountain View, Arkansas, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born to Mary Lee and Harold Curtis Reed. Ronnie developed a love for drag racing and he went on to get an IHRA record in 1982. He also won Super Chevy Show in Memphis in 1995. Ronnie loved cars and worked as a mechanic. He also was a franchise owner of Mac Tools. His hobbies included car shows where he won several trophies over the years. Ronnie also loved to ride motorcycles. He leaves behind a loving wife of 25 years, Sharon Reed. They had one daughter, Bridget Young (Matthew) and two granddaughters, Lillian and Arie. He is also survived by his parents; his brother, Mike Reed (Cyndi) and nieces Brittani Schoonover (Justin) and Becka Joyner (John); and his sister, Brenda Brower (John) and nephew, Nicolas Brower (Kayla). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Irene Reed and Albert and Mittie Reynold Butler.Funeral services will be held at 2 P. M., Monday, November 21, 2016, at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany, Mississippi. Visitation will be held from noon until service time on Monday. Nathan Reed will officiate with burial following at Center Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike Reed, Matthew Young, Nathan Reed, Jimmy Reed, Tim Winningham, and Tim Gammill.
